City's summer spending was clearly an effort to get ahead of sanctions. But the question is what recourse their players have. It's likely that City knew of the guilty verdict and did not disclose it to the players they signed. Could they potentially be released from their contracts? So much fallout

For my sins, I see way too much content and even I’ve only encountered the song in glancing and meta ways, like being scolded to acknowledge its popularity. It’s easier to top the charts w/o reaching everybody today bc we don’t have a monoculture, and that’s not the fault of individual consumers.

The argument in this piece is one that is becoming more and more obvious. The Premier League is just so much better than any other league in the world, top to bottom. Sides like PSG and Bayern can look like they do in the CL because they simply don't play many good teams most of the time.

At minimum I think you need to try someone else besides Jurgen. This is why the Eagles always drafted OL high. Now we haven't done it for 3 years and you see the results.

I do think it is funny how this game is viewed vs. the Brigthon game last year, which was a very similar performance we were lucky to win 1-0. The difference is Brighton missed easier chances than they scored from today and we got a lucky deflected goal from a worse chance than ones we got today..

A couple things, it was not a good performance, but it was probably the kind of performance that should have ended 1-0 or 2-1 to Brighton. Them scoring 2 goals from long shots is just one of those things and made it seem worse than it was.

This is probably the main reason I wouldn't move back to the UK. Mental health discourse in the country is abysmal, wore than even red state US and worse than other OECD countries. I suppose you could still get private care, which I could afford. But Britain is so weird when it comes to this.

week 1 can be really weird in the NFL (especially now starters don't play in preseason), so don't necessarily want to draw too much from the Eagles game. But the OL looks real bad. I feel bad for Dickerson, but he should have retired.

Hurts is still underrated. If season goes badly, would be nuits to move on from him. Sirianni is and has been the problem. Also - you now see the effects of not drafting OL for 3 years. Fans found it boring, but it was key to the teams success in teh Lurie years.
