Teacher @crystalfrommert.bsky.social shares 3 ways new teachers can pace themselves: edut.to/45cZDdo #EduSky #NewTeachers

“A wise colleague once advised, ‘Aim to improve by only 10 percent each year.’ That, I can handle. The next time you start to feel like you’re running too fast and can’t run much longer, slow down. Don’t stop. But do less. Carefully choose the tasks for the most impact on student learning—the rest can take a backseat. You’ll be a far better educator when you stop trying to win the race and, rather, take your time and make a lasting difference.” —Crystal Frommert, Math Teacher

As Trump pardoned almost all of the Jan. 6th insurrectionists, lest we forget that President Andrew Johnson pardoned almost all Confederates. And in due time, they regained power, framed antiracist Reconstruction policies as anti-White. . .1/2

Concert day today. Here’s the aftermath… #musiced #edusky #iykyk #gratitude

Very messy music classroom with instruments strewn everywhere. Xylophones, drums, a piano… total chaos.

Headed to work this morning… met a reminder of what real strength, smarts, and bravery in the face of injustice is. Honored to be near the memory of her. Thank you MCTS for the inspiration. Thank you Ms. Parks for leading the way. #freedom #equality #justice

#edusky Question for the educators here… I’m putting the finishing touches on my winter concert planning… As a non-music educator… what is the most helpful information that you could get about an all-school, during the day, winter concert? I’m hoping to make it stress free and chill for all.

It’s concert prep. season. So thankful for Dr. René Boyer-Alexander’s book, “Expressions of Freedom”. She led a singing session at AOSA’s national conference that was food for all our souls. #gratitude #musiced #edusky #orff
