@sturdyalex.bsky.social glad to hear your sinuses are improving and more podyssey soon. I was on holiday in Rhodes a couple of weeks ago and really enjoyed listening to it all again from the start while I pottered around looking at old things and the beautiful dramatic scenery.

I’m sure this will garner just as much attention as that time when Coutts tried to close Farage’s account because his grift wasn’t generating enough returns at the time, and he moaned and complained about it being persecution while the papers all sobbed about the great injustice.

They were on board with cutting off water and power from day one. It’s not like they ever hid who they are.

I’m sure she’ll voice her concerns on her next LFI funded trip to Israel. Hopefully they can smooth things over to make sure she doesn’t lose out on future campaign donations.

There’s no need to make this about Israel and Gaza. What Israel is doing in Gaza, the West Bank, and Lebanon is absolutely abhorrent. But that doesn’t make what this woman said any less awful and antisemitic. We can call out antisemitic hate without dragging Israel into the discussion.

Honestly it’s got so much worse just this year. Everything that’s been sent to me 1st class or 24 hour parcel has taken minimum 3 days. I used to love Royal Mail but now I groan when I see their name the same way I do when I see Evri.

Small price to pay to make sure that nothing Israeli or Israel adjacent ever receives any kind of criticism, regardless of how valid it may be.

While the police might have made a sloppy case to argue for it, I don’t see how banning fans who chant “death to the Arabs” and “there are no schools in Gaza because there are no more children in Gaza” can ever be a bad thing.

There’s a lot of that going around these days. IDF storming hospitals dressed as doctors, china turning a container ship into a missile battery. These people don’t care about international law or the fact they’re putting civilians in danger.

The government sits and watches as Heba dies. It's heartbreaking, horrible, almost impossible to compute. Didn't people vote in the hope (however forlorn) of ending the Tories' psychopathic mode of government? Yet on it goes, under Keir Starmer. www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2026...

It was like pass the parcel. Youth on an e-bike took it from me, paused at the lights and a kid snatched it from him and ran, that kid was knocked over by a pedicab whose rider then stole it. I lost track shortly after. Every one of them was a small boat immigrant though.

This is also what Yvette Cooper, when she was UK Home Secretary, said about #PalestineAction. If you knew the secret stuff I know, you'd agree with me that they're terrorists. It's the cheapest and basest way for a politician to malign someone, and a clear sign of a flailing, undemocratic state.

Too late mate, they already own vast chunks of our energy generation and distribution infrastructure, water companies, transport infrastructure, even football clubs. I suppose you could sell that one steel mill back to them.

Keir Starmer says the govt must be clear about what its achieved already. Sided with the profiteering energy & water companies ripping us off. Introduced a new wave of PFI to rip us off some more. More money on weapons while demonising the disabled. Supported & armed a genocide.

I don’t think it’s a controversial point. I suppose I was just suggesting that neither the UK nor Israel seem to give a shit about Syrian sovereignty. They think they can do what they want and they no longer give a shit about international law.

Bill Beesley @beesley.dev · 03/01/2026
How could they collaborate? Israel destroyed all their military equipment and infrastructure a year ago. Best they could do is hold up a sign saying “I support the UK’s air strikes”.
