If the police have already blocked a road, how can you be guilty of then blocking the same road? Is this like Schroedinger's PSNI road block?

My phone did an update and a folder called "important stuff" disappeared. But it decided to save this photo of Yassified Ian Paisley. We really shouldn't trust machines to make decisions..
Ian Paisley MP for North Antrim, yassified.

BTW, "condensation" should read "condemnation". And he related the news that a Consultant at Daisy Hill hospital has left his job and the area because of the racism he and his family encountered in Newry.

We've been here before. These things need real momentum and broad community involvement. We also need to find other communities doing similar so we're stronger together. But it's a start.

Serious discussions of the water infrastructure, flood plans, the Southern relief road which won't open to let boats up the historic Newry Canal and of course the derliction of duty of our politicians.
A slide outline which the People's Forum are.

I hesitated to go until I'd sussed out who was behind the Forum but it's a good group of people. Could always do with a few more women of course. And the one former GAA "star" who refused to led go of the mic - refused! - needs some winding in. More sport is not the solution here.

He'd had a heart attack at 19 & was saved by a medical team made up of migrants. His condensation of racism in Newry got a huge round of applause.

Went to the new Newry People's Forum last night. Packed house and a really varied crowd which was great. The local fascists were there but got short shift when they started wanging out about Cities of Sanctuary and were completely upstaged by the young fella who spoke just after them.

My favourite is saying that swan is the traditional Easter dish in Ireland. Very easy to segue into after someone mentions that supposed fact that it's illegal to eat swan in England because the queen owns them all, so it's a thumb in the eye to the crown to commemorate the Easter rising

1/x Two of the best-known coats on any high street began as working kit for sailors on cold decks. Both carry names from my little corner of the North Sea: Duffel, a small town near Antwerp, and the Dutch word "pij". The story of the duffel coat and the peacoat. #maritimehistory

Lookit. Deep down every Irish person wants to spin some yank a yarn that gets cited as fact in some factual text. We told an Irish American girl that when the Muppets was released in Ireland, Kermit the Frog was called Dermot the Frog because Cromwell’s son was a Kermit.

We all hope that we can make a change in this world. Even for just one person. Something meaningful, something impactful even. So that when we die, our defining moment is a good one. I can only hoped to be remembered in this way. Such poetic beauty.
