Tempting to add a Reaction for a small AC boost - maybe prof bonus? It's an origin feat for a background based off the sweepers and lighters in Poppins

How would you create assisted-parkour in a 5.5e #DnD Feat? I'm thinking something like; When using a staff, club, spear or polearm and using the Dash Action your movement isn't reduced by non-magical difficult terrain, you can move up to 1/2 your movement along a vertical surface such as a […]

A thing I noticed recently. Original reporting said that the Forgotten Realms D&D show at Netflix was dead because of scripting. This goes unattributed and is in the story that clearly comes from Hasbro's PR about the August Strahd show. But, a few weeks later we learn that Shawn Levy left […]

I'm so compelled, pulled maybe, by the sight of a full moon in a sky with a few clouds. You stare at that glow through a small shroud and understand that magic is real. It offers just enough light to not get lost, light enough to give you hope. But it's still dark. You're aware of a world […]

And now an odd thought experiment. What if you could upcast non-combat, utility cantrips at ritual pacing. Yes, a 1st level character using 10 minutes to cast a more powerful Druidcraft -- let's say the ritual version gives a 2-day, 4-day, 8-day weather forecast

I was in a chat about how fantasy #TTRPG treat rituals by rule and realized it was actually a conversation about the feel of the setting, not the rules. Defining the experience around rituals, long magic and cantrips defines how the setting works. And that's key when designing a world.
