This is a big deal for me and, as I've said a thousand times on here, I think the doomer-narrative of nothing being a win bc Trump and his people lie and cheat is dangerous. They lose. A lot. And rightfully so because they're doing illegal things. And taking those wins is important for democracy.

I clerked in the Dirksen courthouse in Chicago. The building and hallways are ugly office building style, but some of the individual courtrooms are nice. Others are not so much. I loved my clerkship, but I always wished the whole building were a fancy old courthouse.

I got back home a bit ago from Tennessee's execution of Christa Pike. We sat in the witness room for nearly 2 and a half hours as she received two rounds of pentobarbital. She was taken away in an ambulance shortly after that and I can't say for sure if she is dead or alive at this moment.
