I have a kiddo down-and-out sick at home this week/end, so what cheers me up is a little #ArtAdventCalendar bird/music combo. These western meadowlarks are some of our sweetest local prairie singers, appearing on fence-posts outside my city. #birds #art

Lazy Sunday morning #ArtAdventCalendar - inconsequential art because 🥰. A game of drop the collage cuttings (no repositioning allowed) and a loose drawing inspired by a pile of cutting leftovers. These feel like faint hints of ideas that might stay half baked, or not. They’d be fun to draw over. 🥰🥰❤️

An unglued collage piece made by playing the game “drop the cuttings” where I placed cut outs on top of the colored background, but do not allow myself to reposition a cutting once it’s placed. If there’s something I don’t like I have to layer it away by placing other pieces on top. Eventually, the piece feels good so it gets its picture taken and then I print it out. I will probably color or ink over the print. Maybe. Who knows. 🤣🤣🤣

An abstract drawing based on the shape of cut paper scraps in the garbage tray on my desk. Drawn in an ink that is somewhat water soluble and colored with water soluble crayons. Painting over with water made everything smudge just enough. This could be fun to print out and draw over. For some reason, it feels like a landscape in many ways to me.
