My husband and I are going away for two child free nights to celebrate our 7th wedding anniversary. We have booked a cabin with a fireplace, packed board games and books, ordered a huge cheese hamper and I have just picked up bread from the fancy bakery. I am so so excited.

Just finished The Chateau on Sunset by Natasha Lester. I can only describe it as Jane Eyre set in a hotel in 1960s Hollywood. The writing is exquisite. Highly recommend!

Still processing the time when, after two miscarriages, I couldn't stop throwing up or having severe abdominal pain. On one of many hospital visits, a nurse told me I was probably just faking morning sickness because I was sad I wasn't pregnant anymore. Turns out my gallbladder was rupturing 🙃
