I just did a financial accounting task that I have been dreading for more than a year and wow, it was more awful than I expected. I am low key financially freaking out now, but at least I finally know what I'd been avoiding. So there's that.

My mom said she read that babies that learn to walk later are smarter, so she discouraged me from trying to walk till I was over a year old. Either that was wrong and this is just how smart I am anyway, or it was right and oh my god how much more stupid would I be if I'd walked sooner.

My colon was just being dramatic on the earlier scan. Super pleased I don’t have to get another colonoscopy this year! Also I love this gastroenterologist, he was great. I hope I never need him again.

If I'd realized sooner that this Sid's show was on the anniversary, I would have brought back my grinduation act (a chair act to Tina Turner's cover of Elton John's The Bitch is Back.) It was a fucking banger, so maybe we'll do that next year for the 10th. Come out tomorrow to celebrate with me!

I'm thrilled that I'm going to be performing at Sid's for my NINTH burlesque anniversary! Just 9 years ago, I got up on stage for the first time as a performer and it still remains one of my favorite performances. It was everything I wanted it to be.

I had to get a follow up CT scan today and that involved an IV. The first stick didn't work and hurt a lot. Second stick did it, also hurt! The CT contrast feels so weird. To reward myself, I got a fish burrito the size of my face from Baja Burrito.

Okay, but I'm SO pleased that I actually rehearsed in them a full 4 days before my show. I have a terrible habit of rehearsing barefoot until the last minute. I've got back up shoes and these have seen a lot of stage, so it'll all work out!

I woke up sometime in the wee hours after midnight with the thought, "they should put an Old Navy in all the airports!" and it kept me half awake for a long while. In the light of day, I can see the flaws in this idea, but I still think it contains a kernel of genius.
