I'm thrilled that I'm going to be performing at Sid's for my NINTH burlesque anniversary! Just 9 years ago, I got up on stage for the first time as a performer and it still remains one of my favorite performances. It was everything I wanted it to be.

Babe you ARE a social experiment. Women have only been allowed to be active duty service member in the regular services since 1948, making them eligible for veterans benefits, it was not all that long ago.

progression. Women have always been warriors in many different cultures over centuries. Gays, trans, etc are aberrations, different if you will, to the natural order. Lots of different pieces to the puzzle & this is only one of them.

My mom embroidered this sometime in the 70s. When I was helping her move last month, she said “oh it’s so old and yellowed now, I don’t think I’ll take it with me.” I grabbed it up so fast. We moved so many times when I was growing up, but this was always on a wall somewhere.

This little baby guy, my firstborn, is thirty entire years old today. I got out of the army just a couple of months before he was born and I had no idea how to be a mom. But he turned out incredible anyhow.
