Something that bugs me is the tendency for people to conflate science with truth. Scientific processes are how we understand the “truth” of the universe, as best as we can with our limited human perception and biases. The attacks on science harmfully blur our perception of what is and isn’t real.

When colonization came to call in the US, many folks wrote about america as a pristine Eden whose forest were filled with delights and bounty. This was because indigenous folk (Like mine) built up food forest. Things that were razed and destroyed as a part of racist violence. Colonization is ongoing
