Referee Eric Read (Bristol) & linesmen before the Sheffield Wednesday-Arsenal FA Cup 3rd Round game in January 1979. As a sign of changing times this game went to 4 replays before Arsenal won 2-0, going on to win the Cup. He was a League referee from 1974 to 1985, the last season based in Eastleigh.

Well that was poor! Starting formation was just wrong, better when Gray and Morrison came on but midfield not playing together and decision making poor all round. Cooper kept us in it at the back. Still it's a clean sheet and a point. 💙🦉 #swfc

3 of our 4 home games we have blanked in this season. Pedersen has made a excellent start with a squad clearly not gelling totally yet, but he needs to find a tune on the regular as our home form will be the catalyst to any top of the table challenge. Anyway it’s another point #SWFC

League One teams can name up to 5 loan players on matchday. Sheffield Wednesday has 6: Heskey, Morrison, Burstow, Al-Hamadi, Gray, and Keillor-Dunn. I confess I was happy enough when Heskey missed the cut against Wigan, but it prevented SWFC from regaining midfield control when the going got tough.

Sheffield Wednesday's left flank is a concern. Louie Barry is a huge loss, Callum Slattery didn’t look comfortable there vs Wigan and Kieran Morrison is better on the right. Harry Gray might be the best bet. Not an easy puzzle for Henrik Pedersen to solve. #SWFC 🦉⚽️
