Yep. I was *pissed* after the Baltimore loss. Like it affected my mood for several hours (and I try not to let that happen anymore). But this one? I just shrugged and went "welp" and moved on to a Lakers preseason game.

I kinda feel like the 5th is pretty important... When I was in law school, Con Law - Individual Rights (my law school broke up Con Law into 2 courses: IR and Fed/State) was by far my favorite course. It was the most interesting and the most "important". But I pity any Con Law professor right now.

And if someone is not doing their job and giving max effort (I think we’re going to be high pressing a ton), there are plenty of guys they can throw out there to play D and shoot 3s. But he gives us a different level of athleticism that, if he can channel it, really raises the team’s ceiling.

I think there are going to be lots of growing pains with him, and he’s probably going to drop out of the rotation a few times (like Max did the first year JJ was coach) as he learns to refine his game and do what the coaching staff wants him to do. After all, this team is deep as hell at the wing.

If Adou can stay under control, learn to harness and leverage his strength and crazy athleticism, and become a passable shooter… he could play lots of minutes, and between Jake and Mamu we’d have the 4 spot locked down pretty well.

Darius and Pete on the @lfrpod.bsky.social have done a good job of making the case that the 5th starter needs to be a POA wing defender, because Luka is going to guard whoever the worst opposing wing is, just like Grimes (presumably) is going to guard the best opposing guard.

Sure, but you literally end the game if you just kick the FG. This is not a difficult decision. It’s a gimme. We’re not talking about a 50 yarder. Even at best, 4th and 1 is a 50-50 proposition. A FG from there is 99.9% chance of success. So do you take the 50% chance to end the game, or the 99%?

Yep. When I was young and dumb I thought it was justified, but as I've gotten older and gained life experience - and have actually seen how the legal system works from the inside - I think it's morally indefensible. There are too many problems with our criminal justice system that I can't ignore.

This would have been fine if I was parked. But I wasn't. I was driving through an unfamiliar area of upstate NY, driving by navigation while also trying to defog my windows, at night. It was incredibly dangerous, and now I've sworn that I will never buy an all-touch screen car.

It might *have* been ok if there were a dedicated area of the touchscreen to deal with climate control while leaving the navigation screen open, but that wasn't it. Instead, I had to tap something to call up a menu, where I could then tap climate control. Then I had to adjust the AC/defog settings
