I'm not a fan of motor-boats, but I do love being on a sailboat. I'm just hoping I remember how to run a jib-sail. And I'm really hoping this is a shoal-keel bathtub built for comfort, not speed. If it's the boat I raced on for two summers on Lake Minnetonka when I was a postdoc, I'm gonna howl.

Dad worked as a sales-rep for the Milwaukee Railroad and got transferred around a bit. I was born in Minneapolis, but we lived in Richmond, and Springfield, VA before moving to Fridley. Other than that, just Madison, WI, Chapel Hill, NC, and Saint Paul.

I have been a Leo Kottke fan since the late 1970s. He is a guitar-players’ guitar player. Probably partly why he isn’t as well known as some other artists. Seen him live many times.

Concur. We've maxed out our donations to the @peggyflanagan.bsky.social campaign, but we have not obtained a sign. I don't think a sign in *my* particular neighborhood would be particularly effective. Also, I don't respond to polls. The occupation has pushed a lot of organized people into soto voce.
