I hate when I’m reading code and there’s a ten-line comment about why it doesn’t do such-and-such and why this other thing would break. I read code to see what it does *now*. Put the history in git. You don’t need to warn me not to change it back to the old version because you wrote a test. Right?

Delighted to share some good news 🧪 “This hugely encouraging news shows the life-saving impact of the HPV vaccine, and it’s incredibly exciting to be able to say to this whole generation: cervical cancer shouldn’t be a risk for you,” says Caroline Temmink www.newscientist.com/article/2530...

No young women have died of cervical cancer in England for years
We already know the vaccine against human papillomavirus, or HPV, greatly reduces infections and cases of cervical cancer, and now we have the first evidence it prevents deaths too

Kubernetes 1.36 logo.

The logo, created by avocadoneko / koi Natsuho Ide, draws inspiration from Katsushika Hokusai's Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji (富嶽三十六景, Fugaku Sanjūrokkei), the same series that gave the world The Great Wave off Kanagawa. Our v1.36 logo reimagines one of the series' most celebrated prints, Fine Wind, Clear Morning (凱風快晴, Gaifū Kaisei), also known as Red Fuji (赤富士, Aka Fuji): the mountain lit red in a summer dawn, bare of snow after the long thaw. Keeping watch over the scene is the Kubernetes helm, set into the sky alongside the mountain.

At the foot of Fuji sit Stella (left) and Nacho (right), two cats with the Kubernetes helm on their collars, standing in for the role of komainu, the paired lion-dog guardians that watch over Japanese shrines.

Brushed across Red Fuji in the logo is the calligraphy 晴れに翔け (hare ni kake), "soar into clear skies".
