you can't be serious. This reads Meta/Facebook/Insta is looking to grant itself the rights to scrape websites across the open web - and train Meta's AI - if a company after Oct 30, 2026 uses Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp or other Meta services. So every biz. Read that again. Outrageous. 1/5

It also wouldn’t let me attach a gadget properly, the first Sabir actually attached inside the asteroid. But strangely, it let me peer inside of the asteroid, which I discovered when looking for the first gadget. Haunted indeed. #StarCitizen

James Talarico just summed up the entire midterm election in one sentence: “We have an affordability crisis because we have a corruption crisis.” That’s it. This entire election comes down to affordability vs. corruption. Which one are you voting for?

The fact that the "remain" camp keeps telling everyone the lies about these fabricated grievances means that they are just accepting the separatists' arguments, and that just seems incredibly stupid because it's validating their false narratives. Can nobody have an honest conversation about 2014?

Honestly, fuck off with this revisionist history. Trudeau and Guilbeault didn't cause the world price of oil to crash in 2014. They did nothing to "shut in" Alberta's resources. Trudeau offered help to Alberta in 2015 when Harper didn't. www.readtheline.ca/p/jim-dinnin...
So, when the Trudeau–Guilbeault government took a wrecking ball to Canada’s resource economy, Albertans didn’t stay quiet. We sounded the alarm because we knew exactly what was at stake: jobs, investment, competitiveness, and the prosperity of Canadian families. While allied nations were asking Canada to help secure their energy needs, Ottawa was tying Alberta’s hands behind its back. And when capital fled the country, Albertans were stunned by the complacency elsewhere. The math wasn’t complicated: if Alberta is forced to shrink, Canada will shrink with it.

Apparently the same Mississippi group was reportedly at DC polling stations last week. This absolutely needs to be reported by the press as well. The fact they said it's a public place means they were briefed. It's intentional and Trump's trying to see how far he can go. We need to push back NOW.

I keep thinking that a core problem, not only with AI or social media, but the deployment of software in society generally, is how much the industry relies on being able to conduct social and individual psychological experimentation and manipulation on the public for its business models.

Tracking 25 false claims across 268 websites and accounts
As of Oct. 13, 2026, NewsGuard had identified and debunked 25 false claims about the midterms that have gone viral on social media platforms.

Tracking each claim instance by instance, our analysts have confirmed 365 individual appearances of these claims online across 11 platforms, more than 212 distinct social accounts, 56 websites, and 24 segments on national cable news.

Eleven of the 25 claims centered on supposed election fraud, a particularly pernicious category of false narratives since such claims could undermine confidence in the results of the elections and in democracy itself.

Many people have a wrong idea about what US intelligence sharing with Ukraine is. In reality it's largely early warnings about air strikes so Ukrainians can seek shelter. This requires US satellites. But it looks like Trump might have instructed his military to stop giving Ukrainians that warning.
