These anonymous MPs saying it's 'electoral suicide' to tinker with the triple lock. Exactly the type who got us into this mess: unwilling to lead, unwilling to recognise reality for fear of offending voters, unwilling to solve long-term problems if it presents the slightest short-term risk.

Sailing past Barnhill on Jura where George Orwell lived out the last years of his life and where he wrote 1984. From here we sail out to sea and past Corryvrecken, the whirlpool where Orwell nearly drowned himself, his son Richard and his visitors when his rowing boat got too close

Final distillery visit is a warehouse tour on Jura. Some lightly peated drams with long sherry finish sitting amidst hundreds of casks, all producing single malts. None of blending. A great way to cap off the New Scientist whisky sailing tour of the Western Isles

Think Reform fucked it with their donations. They're so outrageous, so obviously obscene, that they've managed to accidentally create a consensus for tougher action on political funding.

Trump promises every adult American $5,000 but only if Republicans win both the House and Senate We’ve heard the dividend promises before. Trump offered of a $5,000 DOGE dividend in 2025, but it was never enacted. Then came the promised $2,000 tariff dividend, which also never materialised.
