The Council has changed the text on www.letstalk.islington.gov.uk/barnsbury-la.... It now says, "We are currently working on next steps." We don't know exactly what this change means, but we hope it reflects a continued commitment to the original goals of the B&L liveable Neighbourhood.

The Cowley Low Traffic Neighbourhoods have saved 30 collisions over 3 years within the LTNs and boundary roads according to latest casualty data, analysed by @cohsat.bsky.social The Cowley LTNs were implemented in April 2021, after sporadic coronavirus lockdowns between March 2020 and March 2021.

Update to Islington’s LTN policy: Previously, Blue Badge holders were exempt only from restrictions in their local LTN. Now all BBHs living in Islington are exempt across all LTNs in the borough, making travel more convenient for disabled car users. www.islington.gov.uk/roads/people...
