Hi, I'm angry about something atm. Fuck Bigots.

Recently saw a post about an Irish trans woman who said she felt unsafe in the UK because of their washroom situation. (If you haven't heard, they're trying to force trans folks to use washrooms based on biological sex, not gender.)

The amount of bigotry on that post proved her point. It's absolutely mind-boggling to me that people are that tilted about how a person identifies. If a trans woman was in the washroom with me (if I even noticed she was trans), I would just go about my day. Maybe compliment her outfit or her makeup or something.

Y'know, treat her like a regular human being, because she is.

"Oh, but think of the children! Think of the women! We must keep them safe!"

If I recall statistics correctly, something like 90% of grooming perpetrators are men (and 93% are known to their victims, and 34% are family members). Given that trans people are a very small (known) portion of the population overall, PRETTY SURE THEY'RE NOT THE ONES WE GOTTA WORRY ABOUT.

This shit makes me so fucking angry. It's 2026. People need to grow the fuck up.

I recently blocked all of my dad's family on Facebook, and honestly, it feels like such a relief that I never have to see their comments or likes on my posts, or see their posts. How they were when I saw them for my mom's Celebration of Life made me realize I don't need them in my life.

I will always appreciate the quiet moments I spend with my partner. There's no need to fill the silence, but I also feel safe enough to let my spaghetti brain do its thing and let my seemingly random thoughts come out. It's especially nice on nights where my brain is being espectually cruel to me.
