Catchers should also avoid single digits, because the strap of their chest protector won't lay right. Middle infielders should be 0-4 or 11-14, outfielders should be 20-35, corner infielders 5-9, 15-19, 25-29 Relievers should be in the 40s, 50s, or 90s

One of my favorite stories about Manny Ramirez was that, near the end of one season, Cleveland's accounting department was thousands above what they expected they should be at, and couldn't find the issue. Until locker cleanout, when they found that Manny had like six checks sitting in his locker.

Best thing my school ever did was buy slightly more books than they needed for each text and keep them in classrooms, so kids didn't have to carry books between classes - they banned carrying backpacks between classes shortly after Columbine, so arms were already overloaded\.
