Took 150 hours but I've finished all 4 Part 1, all 4 Part 2, and all paralogues. I've heard a lot of bad things about Part 3, but I've been loving the game and can't wait to give it another playthrough eventually despite the massive time sink to complete everything

happy fe8 anniversary day! I dont actually have anything drawn to celebrate the occasion, so instead I'll repost my old art, which just so happens to be shitposts lmao #fireemblem #fe8 #magvel #eirika #ephraim #lyon #cormag #valter

drawing based on the first half of the final map from the fe8 eirika route, to which the background is the battle background of that same map.

in the foreground on the right side of the image, lyon is looking at eirika, who, in return, is giving him a hostile glare. there are electrical surges flowing across her upper body and her eyes are glowing.

additionally, above eirika is a screenshot of the text box from the original game, which reads "Shut your mouth."

meme redraw of ephraim (in his shadows form) roaring at "lyon", who smirks at him whilst resting his chin above his hand

[Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones - Chapter 15 (colorised)]

drawing of eirika, ephraim, and cormag in a blue all-terrain vehicle, which is getting rammed into valter at top speed.

cormag is in the drivers seat gritting his teeth while eirika is sitting behind cormag whilst flipping off valter. ephraim is standing on his seat next to cormag, grabbing the frame of the vehicle with one hand, and pointing onwards with the other. ephraim also yells "STEP ON IT!!"

redraw of the spongebob frame where spongebob and stanley are gleefully smiling and has their hands wrapped around the other's back, but this time the characters are redrawn with emblem eirika and emblem ephraim

in this redraw, eirika is spongebob and ephraim is stanley and has his hand on eirika's shoulder

Someone on reddit did an interesting breakdown of FE Fortune's Weave credits wise: www.reddit.com/r/fireemblem... Tl;dr: FW featured new writers not involved in any previous FE games. That, and Kuzakihara - 3H's director - is now functionally the Kaga of the "Sothisverse". #FEFW #FireEmblem

I love the Doronbo Gang #art #fireemblem #fefw

The main Saramis trio; Bonaventure, Theodora, & Tobias from Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave. All three posed and drawn in a way that calls back and is tribute to the Doronbo Gang from the classic anime, Yatterman.

Theodora being Doronjo, Bonaventure as Boyacky, & Tobias as Tonzura.

Their team name, "Megaira's Beacon," from when they participate during the Heroic Games is written above them.

1) This isn't about generating games or assets with AI, it's just about using automation tools for some processes like bug testing which isn't inherently bad 2) IGN should be embarrassed for this headline. It doesn't say "AI generation" as in generative AI, it's 世代, "generation" as in "time period"

Capcom Engineers are building tools that aren't just Game Industry leading, but Tech Industry leading. And making it open source. But this will neither get coverage or apprication. Instead people will blindly fall for clickbait.

So the fastest JSON serializer for .NET now is developed by CAPCOM as part of their game engine that powers Resident Evil / Biohazard

I did not see that coming lol

https://github.com/CAPCOM-TD-OSS/REDox

They’re also doing their own memory-management work underneath this. Instances are managed in 64 KB pages, with page reference counting plus cache and GC optimizations. The goal seems to be reducing the cost of managing huge numbers of objects while improving locality and avoiding some of the fragmentation problems they’ve had before.
This also makes CAPCOM’s REDox project much more interesting.

REDox is their open-source .NET serialization/data library, with JSON, CBOR, MessagePack-style structured data handling, lazy decoding, streaming, compact token storage, etc.
At first glance it just looks like a standalone .NET library.
In context, it looks much more like the kind of infrastructure they can write and test normally in C#, then feed into this RE:Runtime / RE:C++ pipeline and ship as native engine code.

I don’t understand people that make hating on things their entire personality. If you don’t like a movie/show/game/etc, it’s okay to have an opinion. But obsessing over it is ridiculous! Just focus on things you actually enjoy!! You don’t have to be miserable all the time

"Fire Emblem shouldn't end a direct." "Xenoblade shouldn't end a direct." "Kirby shouldn't end a direct." I think a large portion of Nintendo fans that only care about Mario, Zelda, and Smash care way too much about where Nintendo places their commercials in a commercial highlight reel.

I've heard people make claims that AI would lead to a new Renaissance, but I didn't imagine it'd happen like this:

Screenshot of a Tweet from Pope Leo XIV. It reads:

"In this era of artificial intelligence, it is becoming urgen to distinguish human art from what machines produce. There is an ontological difference, even before an aesthetic one, between art and what a machine can generate through statistical calculation based on millions of images created by others. Algorithms lack the spark of humanity. For this reason, the Church wishes to renew an alliance with artists and cultural institutions to safeguard our humanity."

More awareness needs to be available for rsd. It is the most difficult part of my audhd, I can't regulate the emotions, it's painful and mentally draining because no matter how much I arm myself with knowledge and tools, when it triggers, it's the hardest thing to handle. This + demand avoidance.
