I have a friend whose heart is failing. Due to inherited diabetes, not a good candidate for heart transplant. He’s going on a portable heart pump. Friends set up a “go fund me” to help with medical expenses. He’s so beloved he blew past the original goal in an hour, and now more than doubled it.

Roses from my garden. This was from a cheap little sleeve: a 1.5 grade, I think, and the poor thing sat in that sleeve for a year before I planted it. I’m shocked it survived. The blooms are gorgeous. I need to propagate it and try it in other places. Wish I could remember the variety.
