I just remember being really bored and unengaged. I stopped watching after 3 or 4, because it felt cringe for me, as an adult, to be watching what was very obviously a children's film with an incredibly mundane plot.

Several years ago, someone I worked with (a decade my senior) claimed it was the best thing ever and convinced me to watch the films at least. I can't say I was impressed. Totally confused about what the fuss was about. And this was before she came out as a raging transphobe.

I narrowly avoided having it forcefully rammed down my throat by the faculty at school, because I was in my teens, and back then it was correctly considered to be a child's book for children.

Being trans on TERF island feels like being back in school where some kid would start bullying you, and then they'd go and tell the teacher that you're bullying them, and the teacher believes them regardless of how ridiculous their claims are.

The bee wax melts at much higher temperature, and it's very sticky when it's solid which makes breaking it up and absolute bitch.

Just made a candle with bee's wax, and fuuuuuuuucking hell it's harder to work with than paraffin wax. Smells much nicer though.

My phone has a feature where it automatically detects faces and puts pictures of the same people in the same album. It put meme pictures of Matt Hancock in with pictures of some mold spores I took with my microscope. Fair.

back in January, so it's come as a bit of a double-whammy today. Your descriptions of Alice so far in the book reminded me so much of her too. I'm totally emotionally drained, but also furious at people who make stuff like this happen. I just want them to feel just a TINY bit like how I feel now.

No shade on Alice, mind you. It's just difficult to read about how it affected her family. It's just incredibly sad all round

I've read to page 30 and I'm already emotionally drained. I 'made an attempt' when I was younger. I didn't tell anyone, but it's left me feeling really upset and guilty about what I almost put my family through.

I'm not a BIG fan of Bond films, but I'm confident that I've seen every one at least once. I generally prefer either the relatively realistic but smaller, more personal stakes ones - or the ridiculous, slapstick over the top ones like Moonraker. The rest just end up in a grey goop in the middle.
