At a surface level, it seems like the models are still at a similar spot from when you did your test, they are more accurate than you expect (50-70%) from pure 'stochastic parrot', but not accurate enough to use in a real world situation

I'm curious, when you do (or did) these large integer addition tests, did you test any locally hosted models in addition to frontier lab models? I did see a paper where there was some testing of addition for small integers on open weight models hosted locally, so I'm trying to understand the results

This needs more attention, someone mentioned hyperinflating away the debt to him, and his addled brain has actually latched on to it… as a good idea! His POS handler then had to step in with shows they know he likes to talk about it!

To be fair, evaporative cooling systems do use significant water…but there are multiple alternatives that use much less water, so an obvious solution would be for water sensitive regions to just not allow evaporative cooling? But that would require local governments to stand up to a-holes like Elon

I think that this is an important point that most people don’t understand… the core structure of LLMs is randomness… that’s how they emulate intelligence… you can’t build an LLM without randomness, so you need to use them accordingly, and never give them unfettered access to anything important

I would tweak this slightly... in America's current state, you don't have to appeal to the thinking man, because anyone who actually thinks doesn't really need convincing... but unfortunately, the last decade has shown that there is a huge chunk of 'low info voters' (morons) that actually vote

Given the relatively small percentage of workers at this level, then isn't it kind of no brainer from a political point of view for Dems to push a minimum wage bill up to $10 ish? Macro-wise it should be a blip, and given papers I've seen, it should lower wage inequality by squishing the tail...
