TransCanada Trail washed out between Watts Creek and Bells Corners. If you are looking at heading that way be prepared to wheel / carry your bike and get wet and muddy feet!! There are lots of other sections that are worse than this, right down to the bedrock / membrane.

Notwithstanding the fact that this was parked partly on the sidewalk ( @jleiper.bsky.social part of the Clifton Road chaos that includes a potentially lethal sidewalk closure on Scott), driverless, with its engine running, how the f**k are these spikes legal?

@ncc-ccn.gc.ca Would you expect motor vehicles to just figure out and then beat their own path around a closed road? Why is it ok for anyone else, including those who may have mobility issues? How about making one road lane for pathway folks? (Include flooded underpasses in this rant too) #Autowa

Ah #Autowa. What's the winter alternative to get out west, ride on the KZM, or use Richmond?

Am image of the Kichi Zibi Mikan looking west. The road surface is completely clear but the multi-use pathway running beside it is covered by snow and ice, much of which has been thrown off of the adjacent road.

Ah #Autowa ! Keeping someone's food order that little bit warmer is way more important than my safety. When I challenged the driver, coming from Zak's, that it was dangerous he simply said "I know" and went on his way.

Spot on! I have these discussions pretty much every day. I rode from work yesterday to my local Home Hardware, picking up my trailer on the way, to collect a new vanity unit and faucet. I love the utility that my bike(s) bring, but recognize I can't do everything by bike. It's fun to try though!

So, if this were a road would it just have been closed off and left? No detour signage, no pumping team, no attempt to add some bridging? It is a long way round from the river path, or a treacherous crossing of the 4 lanes of the KZM. #autowa
