There were watch parties throuhout Gaza for the Egypt matches. They were put on by an Egyptian aid society, led by a man named Fawaz El Wahidi. Israel killed him 3 minutes into the match with Argentina.

Crazy that this is getting barely any coverage. This year’s European Press Prize was just awarded to an investigative report by the Dutch newspaper De Volkskrant. Titled 'What the Wounds Tell Us' and in it, the journalists Maud Effting and Willem Feenstra document the cases of 114 children in Gaza.

These images are deely shocking. Israel erases the roots and memories of countless families who have already been fragmented and dispersed by decades of violence. My village has not been detonated, but life has flown out of it. It's sad to a point no westerner understands. Entire worlds obliterated.

Israeli forces shot all four members of the Bani Odeh family in the head, including their 5yo and 7yo. The 7yo, Othman, was blind and had special needs. This comes a day after Israeli settlers shot 28yo Amir Moatasem Odeh and stabbed his father.

So @asanews.bsky.social emailed its membership its refusal to put a petition to Boycott, Divest, & Sanction Israel up to a vote, one that already had 438 signatures. This undemocratic decision, they wrote, is because they're worried about membership dropping. Well do I have news for you.

The IDF just ordered the *entirety of south Lebanon* to be forcibly displaced. They are emptying the land of its population, creating a massive crisis, and will now proceed to further annihilate large parts of Lebanon. The very nation state of Lebanon is being destroyed.
