I found out last night that according to the most recent government census results, the province I'm in has overtaken Alberta as the least accepting of LGBTQIA2S+ people. It's now only a little better than a coin flip of if a cis guy on the street even accepts I exist or not. Damn it 😮‍💨

Speaking from experience on the other end, it only works if you make sure to follow through on helping friends! Make sure you check in on them every now and then. If you wind up putting it off week after week until they stop trying to ask, it can instead lead to a lot of hurt and broken trust.
