It's unclear how much human input was used and which kind, but you should have a look at the multiple shorts existing on YouTube when you search Higgsfield. It's getting better. Of course the company/models takes all the credit and not the humans operators but it is worrying.

I was thinking about the Anthropic, SpaceX, and OpenAI IPOs. What this might be a harbinger of is the end of public markets as a mechanism for growing wealth. Wealth inequality is so extreme that VCs, PE funds, and wealth investors no longer need a public market for growth, just exit liquidity.

There is a concept of domain. It switches depending on the evaluation graph. Sometimes it's operating on instances, other times on vertices... Learning about the graph is very important as it is completely absent from the UI. (We love blender UI paradigms)

Can I be a hater about OOT remake? Weird design, too busy world and plasticky look aside, I don't like how dumbed down it feels. No nightfall before getting to the castle, the quest log, being able to just hum the songs instead of memorizing them, the encouragements from Navi... feels patronizing.

I don’t code with genAI because i keep falling back into the thought that any programming task is either central to the design of your thing and thus something you’ll want to understand fully, or can almost certainly be simplified to a smaller version that is more interesting and / or personal.

The logic of "people like/believe in the stock so they buy" is outdated. People buy stocks from hype which they get much later than algorithms do. If you're a human making human trades you cannot get ahead. Using the stock market as if it's a polling system does not give you new information.

people still try to rationalise the stock market because they don't want to accept that's just a casino giving them some hits and mostly misses, since most of the money on the stock market is in retirement and private equity (so the traders aren't the owners of the money traded)

I really think all of this starts to make more sense when you see it through the lens of the wealth inequality "retail investors are bag holders" context. The stock market is just a way to extract money from low info traders (which is everyone as the only way to make money is to be an insider)

A good cautionary tale for when someone claims that trusting data analysis done with an LLM is good because it’s “objective.” In this example, Copilot apparently decided to ignore the data it was given and just run with all the subconscious biases its (human-made) training data inevitably gave it.
