And finally got finished the photos from Wednesday! It took a while, but for sure is the best i can take for now😅. A close up to the C2023 A3 Tsuchinshan-Atlas ☄️ 16/10/24 from near Tarragona, Spain. 📷🔭📸🧪🌿 #astrophotography #photography #nightsky #nature
Close up to the comet C2023 A3 Tsuchinshan-Atlas the 16/10/24.
The comet's bright nucleus is visible on the right side, glowing intensely white, and it tapers off into a soft, elongated greenish tail stretching diagonally across the image. The tail has a smooth gradient, with subtle shifts in tone, suggesting the presence of different materials like gas and dust being expelled by the comet. The green color could indicate the presence of diatomic carbon (C2) or cyanogen, which are common in cometary comas and tails.

The stars in the background are slightly streaked, which suggests that the camera was tracking the comet rather than the stars, leading to this motion blur effect on the stars. This technique is typical for capturing clear images of a comet that might otherwise move out of frame during a long exposure.

There are also hints of faint details within the tail, possibly showing structures or variations in density, giving the tail a slightly textured look. On the opposite, appears an anti-tail, material of the comet that from our perspective now is visible like a ray pointing the Sun.

Stack of 65photos x 10 seconds
50 darks, 50 biases, 50 flats (super-important this time)

On the way back to the remote Solar System.. 📸🔭📷 C2023 A3 Tsuchinshan-Atlas 23/10/24 #photography #astrophotography #nature #nightsky Processed with @siril.org
This breathtaking image showcases the luminous Comet C/2023 A3 drifting across the star-studded sky, with an ethereal, emerald-green glow at its core. Captured through a 200/1000mm Newtonian telescope, the comet’s tail stretches gracefully across the frame, exhibiting a delicate transition from greenish hues to softer blues as it fades into the cosmic distance. The stacked exposure of 100 photos, each 30 seconds long, allows for an impressive level of detail, revealing intricate textures within the tail and around the comet. The background is speckled with sharp, scattered stars, creating a stunning contrast against the comet’s smooth and vibrant trail. The composition evokes a sense of wonder, freezing a fleeting moment of this celestial body’s journey through the vastness of space.

And the night turned the forest in a fairytale 🍄📸🌿📷 #fungi #nature #photography #nighttime #longexposure
The photo captures a clathrus ruber fungus, framed in the shadows of the forest floor with wet blades of grass and small plants surrounding it, giving off a mysterious, almost enchanted vibe. The fungus itself has a unique, netted structure with deep holes and vibrant red coloring, making it look like a rare, alien organism thriving in the quiet underbrush. The 30-second exposure adds a subtle glow, highlighting the fine droplets on the grass and creating a beautiful depth that pulls you into the scene. The whole setup feels like a hidden treasure in a misty, mystical forest.

Fall shapes, autumn colours..🧡🍂 📷🌿📸🍄 #fungifriends #fungi #nature #photography
A delicate mushroom, probably a smooth parasol ( leucoagaricus leucothites), stretches gracefully from the forest floor, its pale cap subtly illuminated against a shadowy, blurred background. The gills beneath its cap reveal intricate lines, adding texture and depth to its fragile structure. Nestled among dried pine needles and resting beside a weathered pinecone, the mushroom’s slender stem arches slightly, as if leaning toward the soft light filtering through the undergrowth. The scene captures a quiet, almost hidden beauty, highlighting the fall colours, and details that often go unnoticed in the forest floor’s subtle tapestry.

This was an unexpected result, because it's gotten with an unmodified Nikon D750 and "only" 6,5 hours of exposures 📸🔭🧪 Got them 2 nights ago, and adding some more data #photography #astrophotography #nightsky #nature
The iconic Horsehead Nebula (Barnard 33) and the Flame Nebula (NGC 2024), nestled in the constellation Orion. Dominating the scene is the brilliant star Alnitak, the easternmost star in Orion’s Belt, which emits a striking halo of light. The intricate details of the Flame Nebula unfold beneath it, with a web of glowing hydrogen gas interwoven with dark, smoky filaments. To the right, the unmistakable silhouette of the Horsehead Nebula stands out, framed against the backdrop of a rich, red emission nebula. The faint, dusty clouds surrounding these features add depth to the image, emphasizing the complexity of this celestial region.

The photo was taken using a Nikon D750 camera, unmodified for astrophotography, paired with an 8-inch (200/1000mm) Newtonian reflector telescope. Over 26 individual exposures, each lasting 900 seconds, were stacked to accumulate a total of nearly 6.5 hours of light data. Calibration frames—16 darks, 50 flats, and 40 biases—were used to reduce noise and enhance the final result. Processed in Siril with an initial stretch and further refined, the image showcases remarkable detail and contrast, even with a camera not specialized for hydrogen-alpha wavelengths.

I have the most beautiful, funny visitors at home, each one with its personality 😆 🪶📷🌿📸 #birds #photography #nature
Here's Benny, the Sardinian Warbler. He loves to come to eat the small insects but he finds on the olives. He also loves to fly around the orange tree or the jasmine bush. Here's Pippo, the lovely European robin. This is the second winter that he is spending at home. He is getting very confident now, and he loves to jump around home chasing other birds when there's any snack waiting. He's a wonderful friend that already is missed when the migration comes with the spring.Barry, the grumpy boy of the neighbourhood. Barry doesn't like companies, he's an introvert bad guy, willing to chase any bird if he's around, also shy to the camera, but loves to come at home everyday and search for some snacksRose, the white wagtail. She loves to come everyday, looking for snacks. She's very shy despite that she's being coming for a couple of years. Now is being a bit less shy to the camera, but will come everyday😆

If only could bring a piece of the moon.. 🔭📷📸🧪 Mare Crisium, Mare Fecunditatis and crater Langrenus (more in Alt) #moon #astrophotography #photography
A close-up view of the Moon’s surface, revealing its mix of smooth, darker plains (called "maria") and the rugged, bright terrain dotted with craters. In the right portion of the frame, Mare Crisium dominates—it's a vast, round, and smooth plain, appearing darker due to its basaltic composition from ancient volcanic activity. This area looks like a dark sea nestled within the rough lunar highlands.

Toward the lower edge of the image (bottom left), the crater Langrenus is prominently visible. Langrenus is a large, circular impact crater with steep, bright walls that contrast sharply with the darker plains around it. Its floor appears relatively smooth, with a central peak near its center—a mountain-like feature formed by the impact that created the crater.

Adjacent to Mare Crisium, you can see part of Mare Fecunditatis extending to the left. This darker region has subtle variations in texture, and the boundary between the maria and the bright, cratered highlands is visually striking, almost like the meeting of two different lunar worlds.

Throughout the image, smaller craters scatter across the surface, with shadows cast along the edges, adding a sense of depth and dimension to the Moon's rugged terrain. The light and shadow emphasize the pockmarked, aged texture of the lunar surface.

The hues of the seaside nights 🩵💜💙✨ 📸🌿📷 #photography #nightscapes #landscapes #nature
Beneath a painted sky of lavender and rose hues, the tranquil bay of El Canyadell rests in ethereal stillness. The rocky cliffs, softened by the warm glow of the distant lights, cradle the cove as gentle waves brush the shore with a timeless rhythm. The sea reflects the subtle tones of the night, merging seamlessly with the horizon as if the earth whispers secrets to the sky.

In the distance, the lighthouse of Torredembarra stands sentinel atop the rugged coastline, its light a steady beacon piercing the soft darkness.

Wish nights were longer to keep dreaming awake ✨ 21 hours on Alnitak 🔭📷🧪📸 (More info in alt text) #astrophotography #photography #nature #nightsky @kat-astro-bot.bsky.social
This image centers on Alnitak, the brightest star in Orion's Belt, located approximately 1,260 light-years from Earth. Alnitak is a massive blue supergiant, nearly 20 times the mass of our Sun and 10,000 times as luminous. Its intense ultraviolet radiation plays a crucial role in energizing the surrounding nebulae, bringing their vivid colors and intricate structures to life.

To the lower right of Alnitak lies the Flame Nebula (NGC 2024), a spectacular emission nebula glowing in shades of orange and red due to ionized hydrogen gas illuminated by Alnitak's radiation. To its upper right, the iconic Horsehead Nebula (Barnard 33) emerges as a dark, horse-shaped silhouette against the radiant glow of the background hydrogen cloud (IC 434). The dark shape is formed by dense interstellar dust that absorbs the light behind it, creating one of the most recognizable features in the night sky.

This deep-sky image was captured using an unmodified Nikon D750 DSLR camera, showcasing what is achievable even without specialized astrophotography equipment. It consists of 81 stacked light frames, each with an exposure time of 900 seconds, ISO800, for a total integration time of 21 hours. Calibration frames, including darks, flats, and biases, were also utilized to correct imperfections and enhance detail. SW 200/1000 + Eq6-r pro+SvBony guider setup.
