Important to recognise that Man City players and fans are victims in the way that the families of organised crime bosses are victims when their husbands or fathers are finally nicked. They may not have participated, but they enjoyed the proceeds of those crimes.

As much as it hurts as a foreign fan it’s really nothing compared to what the match going fans, the local fans, the club staff and the players must be going through. None of whom have a drop of stain on them.

I hope the club management finally realises their responsibility, connects with them and addresses their concerns.
