We can finally let the cat out of the bag, Steve! I certainly never had a sequel in mind, but when the man himself @stephenking.bsky.social calls you up asking to co-write part 2, you don't say no! We All Fall Before the Harvest 2! Coming soon. #stephenking #cmforest @timberghostpress.bsky.social

Watched Argylle tonight. While I enjoyed it, I can see why it tanked at the box office. Besides the misdirection of the marketing, the movie was downright ludicrous in the last act. Still, probably would have done much better as a streaming exclusive. I give it a 3/5. Have you seen it? #movienight

My current read. I was fortunate enough to be a guest at an event with @christinahenry.bsky.social last year (Books and Brews in Chicago) and got this one signed. Fun read so far! #booksky #nowreading

Braving the cold to do some writing with pal @benvandongen.bsky.social this grey morning. We're both working on short stories. My main focus this year is novel #2, but if I can crack out a few shorts as well, I'll take it as a win. #cmforest #WritingCommunity @timhortonsofficial.bsky.social

It's funny, I absolutely adore Lost Highway and Mulholland Drive, but whenever I think of David Lynch, his role as Gus, the bartender on The Cleveland Show, always pops foremost in my mind. Even in my thoughts, he was subverting my expectations. The man was a legend. R.I.P. #davidlynch

I watched The Front Room last night! Once I understood the movie to be more a dark comedy than a straight horror film, I really dug it. Unfortunately, Sullivan did not agree and fell asleep. #a24 #thefrontroom #movienight

My copy of The Earth Bleeds at Night has arrived! This book is loaded with talent! And, bonus, if you get a physical edition, you can hold it up to your face like this, lol. Available on Amazon, or can be ordered through most bookstores. #booksky #cmforest #eerieriverpublishing #newrelease

Now reading. I would've liked the original cover, but I got this for like a buck, so I'm not complaining. You're probably thinking, I see that book at used bookstores all the time! Yes, but that version is likely the rewrite. Koontz rewrote the book in the 90s to make it less pervy, lol #booksky

I'm heartbroken to hear of the passing of my friend, Andrew Pyper. He was a huge inspiration to my writing and a great human being. If you haven't read Andrew's work, do so now and see how brilliant a storyteller he was.

2024 was a busy year! I hit up numerous events. Books and Brews, dRead Con, and Frightmare in the Falls, just to name a few. I had some stories published. Meet a bunch of cool folks. Hung out with some friends. And had a new book published! Thanks to everyone for sticking with me, you rock! Cheers!

Tonight's movie. There's something about Italian horror movies from the 70s and 80s that just hits right for me. Needlessly drawn out scenes while synth music dominates the mix is chef's kiss. #movienight #horrormovies

In a nice coincidence, I finished 11/22/63 by @stephenking.bsky.social today (11/22/24)! Fantastic book! Looking ahead to next year, I'm left wondering who has been screwing with our timeline? The Green Card Man has to find that person and make them reset things before they get out of hand!
