I greatly appreciate how kind and understanding they’ve been with Matt. Jousting is one of his biggest special interests, but he never has chances to talk about it. Getting to meet the knights and learn more one-on-one truly is a dream come true for him. I love seeing him happy. He deserves joy.

Walking down the lists, Sir Shiloh informed Matt that he was getting to go into their camp with him and another knight, Sir Gar. This is something Matt has dreamed of since he was a kid. He got a behind the scenes look, got to ask a lot of questions, met the horses in private, etc.

He called me, and I immediately was worried, thinking something happened. He only calls if it’s urgent. He was freaking out! In a good way, though! He told me that while talking to Sir Shiloh, right after the photo, he was told to hang around. Once the crowd cleared, he was invited to walk with him.

An update from Matt. Yesterday was his second trip of the season to the Ren Fest, using his fairy house ticket. Last week I paid for his trip. He plans to go one more time with a ticket he won. He’s been making friends there, and was even invited into the knights camp to learn more about jousting.

He had a smile on his face all day, first one I’ve seen since I got here. He was even on stage in a show. It has been adjusted since Covid. The performer would hit it from a cork in a volunteers mouth. Now it’s a bit different. Matt also did refuse the blindfold offered. He wanted to see it all.

I made sure Matt still had this weeks Ren Fest trip. I paid for his entire day out, and helped him replace his hat. He had a very nice hat years ago, that was given to him by someone very special before they passed away. Unfortunately, something happened to that hat. I made sure it was replaced.

I’ve seen @davidtheduckboy.bsky.social on the livestreams he did over on discord before. Few others whose name I can’t recall off the top of my head, but David and I talked through there so I do remember him. And people also learn with time. Not every single piece will look similar by them, either.

Yet you can’t hide it on livestreams. He didn’t do them often but he has done them. His art styles were never perfect. You can especially see it in the eyes and eyebrows he does. Uneven size, shape, pupil locations, etc.And people can do styles on art. It’s not unheard of.

Legally, whether he had or hadn’t used AI, demanding money or a refund to avoid publicly dragging is considered extortion. So I hope the person who did that keeps that in mind. He ended up crying at work on his lunch break over someone demanding a refund in order to prevent dragging him publicly. That blackmail hurt him so much he asked to leave work because he couldn’t calm down, and now he’s afraid of getting an occurrence at work because of it, which can lead to firing.

Because today’s behavior has been appalling. I’m ashamed of the actions people have taken when it comes to herd mentality and attacking others.

I really don't understand how so many
'caring' people are able to just sit there and accuse others, without hearing both sides.
My friend was accused of Al because ot a genuine style. He's shared livestreams before. He's made art from a completely empty canvas in front of me and others. Yet, people can't stop to consider both sides. They jumped to accusing him. He's shared his process from the ground up before. He's shown sketches including just the basic shapes before his art is made.
He's shown it zoomed in where his own errors show through. He's even shown how his style has changed over the years with his old art example vs newer ones. You can see the same style, just more practiced and polished with time. Yet, people keep going.
He was already driven away from collages and latch hook rugs. Now he's been driven from digital art, too. Congratulations.
