An update from Matt. Yesterday was his second trip of the season to the Ren Fest, using his fairy house ticket. Last week I paid for his trip. He plans to go one more time with a ticket he won. He’s been making friends there, and was even invited into the knights camp to learn more about jousting.

He had a smile on his face all day, first one I’ve seen since I got here. He was even on stage in a show. It has been adjusted since Covid. The performer would hit it from a cork in a volunteers mouth. Now it’s a bit different. Matt also did refuse the blindfold offered. He wanted to see it all.

Yet you can’t hide it on livestreams. He didn’t do them often but he has done them. His art styles were never perfect. You can especially see it in the eyes and eyebrows he does. Uneven size, shape, pupil locations, etc.And people can do styles on art. It’s not unheard of.

Bluesky is acting up with me attaching additional word blocks to this post, so I’m going to post this via a picture with alt text for those who require it. Because today’s behavior has been appalling. I’m ashamed of the actions people have taken when it comes to herd mentality and attacking others.

I really don't understand how so many
'caring' people are able to just sit there and accuse others, without hearing both sides.
My friend was accused of Al because ot a genuine style. He's shared livestreams before. He's made art from a completely empty canvas in front of me and others. Yet, people can't stop to consider both sides. They jumped to accusing him. He's shared his process from the ground up before. He's shown sketches including just the basic shapes before his art is made.
He's shown it zoomed in where his own errors show through. He's even shown how his style has changed over the years with his old art example vs newer ones. You can see the same style, just more practiced and polished with time. Yet, people keep going.
He was already driven away from collages and latch hook rugs. Now he's been driven from digital art, too. Congratulations.

He was fine with the Jesus comment. He found it funny as well. That other comment, though, is the problem.

I love getting to watch @izzyhandsart.bsky.social make his rugs in real time. He got the needed yarn for the current one, and is working on it today while I keep an eye on him. He’s got 10 rows done on his current one, so it’s still not recognizable, but it’s so fascinating seeing it progress.

For #procreate users, help a newbie out. I’m unfamiliar with digital art. Hell, I barely do art, but I want to make a piece for a friend. When experimenting with brushes, I see this one shows the thin tapered edges in the… Sample(?) photo. When used, it’s not that way. How do I get that look?

As you can see, Oakland is very sick. He’s miserable. But we can help him. Monday we’ll have more idea of what future care will cost. It was found there is a gallbladder infection and sludge in the gallbladder. This may have been the original infection source, as they couldn’t figure out why the septic arthritis started. Can’t really confirm for sure, but either way, it’s a very good thing he was in! These are his donation options
