It just occurred to me the dog died exactly a week after her birthday and I find that very strange indeed.

Went onto the moors with Barbie’s friends today to blow away any negative energy that may have clustered over this last week from her yeeting off this mortal plane in the woods nearby. The group photo looks strange without her.

We spent this week looking for her and honestly it was so hard going but I think we needed it to process. When we eventually found her with the help of a canine search and rescue man, we were so so relieved and it was beautiful. It’s very strange being without her and yes we keep having a cry

These 12 years with my best friend have been an absolute gift and she gave me a gift of going out with a bang, fucking off after a deer and having us scouring the woods and moors for her. So Barbie Coded. She wasn’t for slowing into decrepitude. I love her.

We buried her in a woods nearby where we had spent many a happy time, pissing about, gorge walking, exploring and adventuring. She went in with her ball on a rope and my whistle, we don’t need them now.

She’s gone. We had a hellish week, she ran after a deer a week ago & was completely untraceable. I knew she was dead but not where. We searched horrible terrain for days, stayed out all night on the moors in the hope she’d find us. She never did, we found her yesterday not far from where she’d run

I went to a spine doctor today about my spine and there is nothing to be done for me other than what I’m already doing with my physio, I just have to live with the fact my leg stops working if I walk to fast and too far. 🙃

I’ve had a ball ache of a week and was behind on report writing so stayed up to finish a couple and now its 1am and will be 24° at 8am so there’s actually no point in going to bed cause I won’t be able to get the dog out before the Heat Arrives

I am for the fourth time trying to stop the shower from leaking, I spent two days meticulously re-sealing it a month ago but the sealant has turned out to be utter shite and is coming away. I’ve given up and resorted to waterproof roofing tape to tide us over until we get it entirely redone

I am in A&E and have found it difficult not to use veterinary terminology to describe things to the doctors. Nearly said “left hind” to the woman who triaged me.

I love the thought that the BN sent a reporter to talk to an ant representative to find out about the dates, but they were obfuscating and being deliberately evasive so they actually don’t know for sure
