I just finished my first beta playthrough! Managed to 100% it in 8 hours and 39 minutes—not a speedrun, but knowing all the puzzles and item locations certainly helped. I've got pages of tweaks and fixes to implement, and once that's done, I'll be releasing the final demo. Exciting times ahead!

I added a game completion percentage and a death counter to the in-game map! For the death counter icon, I found a skull or tombstone to be tonally inconsistent, so I went with a feather and added a falling feather to the death animation. #nes #nesdev #retrogames #homebrew #NESmaker #indiegames
