I don't intend to place myself on a pedestal by saying this, but I read the first DCC book and felt almost foolish for finishing it. Not for me—and I love RPGs. I *get* what DCC is doing. Anyone could. The plot is outlined in yellow paint. Your last sentence says exactly how I feel.

Just down the road is Kyoto Black at 1445 W Devon. They don't have seating and are only open on weekends, but they have two different kinds of cold brew on tap if you're good with a grab-and-go situation. I tend to prefer lighter/medium roasts but I actually think their dark roast is sublime.

Took up a little project today to organize the 50ish postcards I've received over the last couple of years. These Traveler's Notebook photo binders are perfectly sized to hold them (24 per book) with room to write notes in the margins. I made little labels to identify them by year.

A postcard book with Fire Emblem Three Houses and Xenogears postcards is laid open. A second book titled "Postcard Memories 2025-2026" lays closed.

I can’t change the name on my Tenso account to his, and the purchase I made this account for was already sent in my name. So now I have a package for an out-of-print CD that I’ve already paid for just sitting in limbo.

At best, I can find something called a United States Residency Certification for tax purposes that costs $105 and takes 45 days to process. I’m out of options, because Tenso’s only other accepted docs for verification are utility bills we have in my husband’s name only.

I used my ID + an internet bill, the latter of which they apparently don’t accept. I try a second time with different docs (tax statements). Rejected again because the official transcript truncates my address. Our government doesn’t seem to issue the “certificate of tax payment” Tenso is asking for.

They offered to sell me one directly, which was great! But they require a Tenso account, which I didn’t have. So I signed up and forwarded the devs my account info along with my payment. All seems well until Tenso emails to say my identity verification was rejected.

I am having an outsized stress reaction to a Tenso package situation. I reached out to the devs of Stray Children to ask if they would be releasing the game’s soundtrack digitally; they said no, but they had some extra stock of the CD that was sold via pre-order only earlier this year.
