I keep seeing people throw out the term "Covid Correction" for the mass layoffs we continue to see in the games industry. We're beyond that. It's far beyond the mass hiring during Covid. It's mismanagement, poor trend chasing, cuts of departments to use AI (not as much but happening), etc.

Fortune's Weave may be veering into "so easy and permissive that it undermines the game" territory for me. Even in hard mode, If you do any amount of prep you are vastly over leveled and basically steamroll every battle with minimal strategy.

I liked SH2 remake at first, but the more I sat with it, the more I felt that all the extra padding and REmake-style camera didn't serve the original work all that well. It's a technically competent game and not the worst way to experience it, but there's something uncanny and great about the OG.
