I frequently see "AI" boosters implying that LLMs are simply an innate and superior part of coding now, inescapable, and that literally all programmers agree with them. And, well. That, too, is a form of propaganda

Looking at my software peers in 2026 I see fatigued faces, I see frustration, and I see a lot of people looking for a way out of an industry that seems poised on the brink of collapse. LLMs are being pushed on us at every turn, most people seem at best frustrated by them, and ultimately they seem to appeal most to people who see the production of software as a purely mechanical means to an end. They are antithetical, however, to the idea of software as a craft, or something requiring both initial and ongoing care. As an expression of the soul.

Thank you!! All that UI stuff is wonderful, though this is my personal favorite. No more accidentally leaving my poor Volatile Anomaly alone while I’m trying to jump back up to a rooftop fight 😌

The game now refunds one dodge and one jump after an air execution if the player is out of both.

he’s literally trapped in a cage, raised mainly by men, being trained from childhood to fit a role that everyone perceived as masculine until Jesse…. and the Hiss and and the secretary nightmare with Jesse feels very much like someone doubling down to try and ignore their gender because it hurts.

when I replayed Control a few years ago after my own egg cracked it hit me like a truck. Dylan reacts to Jesse like you would react to the version of yourself that got to be free and be their own self and it just fits too good.

this happens to me every time, books are the one thing my brain is guaranteed to hyperfixate on (and I mean actually hyperfixate to the point of forgetting to eat and go to the bathroom 🥲). once I’m in it the only way out is through unless something external completely pulls me away.
