Ashley Schapitl @ashleyschapitl.bsky.social · 15/09/2026And like I said, I had policy disagreements I was clear about and have given JLG credit for addressing some of them post primary (meeting with Mayor Scott on crime and the Superior Court Chief Judge to name two). I'd encourage you to read. 000
Ashley Schapitl @ashleyschapitl.bsky.social · 15/09/2026The Post and City Cast acknowledged all of these factors in describing the polling. From the Post: "Lewis George leads by 25 points among White voters, while McDuffie leads by five points among Black voters, a margin that isn’t statistically significant." 100
Ashley Schapitl @ashleyschapitl.bsky.social · 15/09/2026As a longtime paying Slate/Amicus subscriber this is disappointing. I wrote about policies I disagreed with her on and also discussed where I disagreed with McDuffie. If you read my last post, I was clear that Christina Henderson was my preferred candidate, but she didn't run! 000
Ashley Schapitl @ashleyschapitl.bsky.social · 15/09/2026I don't know how I missed this but the limited polling of the race (which was obviously wrong) had indicated this was the breakdown in each candidate's support. Since the primary I have given JLG plenty of credit for moves to address the policy areas I disagreed with her on. 100

Each have the largest Medicaid and largest SNAP cuts ever. And each give huge tax cuts to the rich. 11260342513

Ashley Schapitl @ashleyschapitl.bsky.social · 15/05/2025Yes. There needs to be a real reckoning with what positions on energy, immigration, and guns to name a few are needed to be competitive in these states. They are not my positions, but I’m not the median voter in Texas! 010
