89% of patients with Mast Cell Activation Syndrome (MCAS) had significant reduction in symptoms from GLP-1RAs. It is thought that these drugs stabilize mast cells and reduce inflammation. The authors recommend future randomized trials of these drugs in patients with #LongCOVID.

Two years later, 18 #LongCOVID patients still showed increased sympathetic nerve activity, vascular dysfunction, impaired exercise capacity. Elevated markers of endothelial stress + oxidative damage point to the cardiovascular effects that may underlie persistent fatigue & shortness of breath.

Five years disabled w/ #LongCovid has turned me into a research machine as well as a guinea pig as I trial things that might help. Just over my latest flare, 16 days. Profound exhaustion is worst symptom. Stopped all supplements & am restarting one at a time, 3 mos. at a time, to test each.
