Going back and reading reviews, hoping they’ll motivate me to publish more of my finished work and complete my WIP.

Review: 4 stars

I was going to write quick and dirty - but calling this ‘dirty’ feels wrong. I don’t usually read MM, preferring MMF or MFM, but this captured me from the first page.

The way the author caught less than 24 hours and squeezed so much into such a short story is fabulous. The feelings and tension and poignant moments were beautifully captured. I highlighted SO MANY passages (lol) that were just beautifully worded, and embodied the title of this book.

A juxtaposition is essentially two opposite things, two conflicting view or images side by side … and in this case, captured in perfect harmony.

Review, continued

I’m a big fan of words, and the author has just indulged in word play as foreplay - and event main event (ok, events) are artfully captured.

‘To this day, I’m still not sure how much of my attraction was wired the way it was because that’s what I liked, or because that’s what I envied’

WHAT?! And then…

‘His calm understatement was in vivid contrast to his demeanour when he was playing … screaming from his core like he was trying to breathe a maelstrom into existence…’

And in case you are wondering, it’s SPICY. It’s got everything I didn’t know it needed, but in perfect amounts. To quote Lisa:

‘It was like walking in on a gay porno, except with no dudes who look like Ken dolls’

Loved it. Want more from this author!
