The word from podiatry is that my tendon is stressed in the middle, but also, thicker than most... so I am to Rest, Ice, Compress, and Elevate while maintaining through other exercise, and when I recover, long term I should have pretty good odds.

I grew up undiagnosed. Outside of losing myself in books and games and romance, I couldn't stay on target. I was volatile. In my youth, medication was to be avoided. Folks who took it were cheating, or doping, or weak. I just had to "work harder." I couldn't outwork the lack of neurotransmitters.

In forty eight hours I decided to go to Canada, booked a flight to Seattle, packed for 2 to 3 weeks away, talked with some friends who are graciously grabbing lunch with me in Olympia, and made plans to probably fly to Denver after I return to the States, and subsequently take the train home.

Two weeks ago I stubbed my foot on a piece of luggage and dislocated a toe. Today, after retaping my dislocated toe which is still healing, I tripped over a scooter battery on the floor, and tore the nail on my big toe. I think I need to check my calcium and biotin. Also my floors.
