ok that was possibly the best WC game I have ever watched. Well played Cape Verde. Going toe to toe the end with a team ranked 66 spots above you. Well played!

So time to travel again! Drive to RDU done, waiting for first flight to DC.

So my weight loss journey moves on. Off all my diabetes drugs. Down below 150 pounds, and in that honor decided to shave off the beard. The outside picture is about 50 pounds ago in December 2021.

Y'all know what this means? Anders goes flying again. EWN-CLT-ORD-ICT

So, some potentially big news. After 2+ decades, my blood sugar is low enough doctor wants me to try to go off Metformin completely. Been on it since the day I was diagnosed. Will this stick? Who knows, but I am certainly going to try to keep my diet the way I have the last 4 weeks.

Some messages from your mortgage company are nice!

I hate Olympics coverage in the US. I tune in to watch 4x7.5km biathlon, I don't want a 10 minute break to talk about skating. #peacocksucks #olympics

Coastal NC winter storm. Just a few pictures showing the progress. At 11AM we had no snow, 2 hours later ground covered, by 5PM 2+ inches. As of 7PM Saturday night still snowing hard.

Is SentryOne dead? Or at least SQL Sentry product? Their support anymore is more of a hindrance to use the product than help.

BLOG ALERT! www.arcticdba.se/posts/tooth-... Sugar went from luxury to ubiquitous poison before we understood what it was doing to us. We're doing the exact same thing with AI, adding it to everything without genuine use cases while it erodes literacy and critical thinking. #AI #Literacy

Seeing the crap coverage and quality @f1tv.bsky.social lately, maybe it is a good thing I don't get the pleasure of paying for them next year. (not that I will pay Apple either)

LHR is the worst part of a shopping mall, combined with the worst part of an airport.

Coding, at 1:30AM, while listening to BABYMETAL. I wonder how my code will look like this week. Although I don't think I will top my triple nested cursor from last week (the two inner ones in dynamic SQL). Making cursors great again, Row By Agonizing Row.

So this happens when I have been on vacation for over 3 weeks, but it dawned on me that 1/4 of a century ago I sat in the ops center for a major medical operation in the US, watching the clock strike midnight in the 3 times zones we had operation. Last bug fix done with 4 hours to spare.

Good to see #F1 stewards keeping up tradition of randomly handing out penalties. (and for once i actually even don't think the penalty for VER was correct)

Time to travel again. Two more flights, 12 hours to home. After 2+ weeks on the road/air, ready to be in my own home with none else around! Great Summit, great seeing so many long time #sqlfamily friends, and meeting new ones. See y'all in November 2025, if not before.

Such an early flight from Oslo the duty free is not open. Cries. That means certain things won't make it. But enjoy a picture of an empty airport.
