iPhone users…tip from me this morning if you run a pihole. When you upgrade to iOS 27, your phone will turn on “Connectivity Assist” in your WiFi network settings and all the ads will pour in. Turn it OFF and your ad blocks will work again. Gotta do it per SSID it looks like.

Ten years ago (yes, I checked - TEN years, two months), I bought an Arduino beginner kit. Played with it for an afternoon, then set it aside. Figured I'd come back to it sometime when/if inspiration hit me with something I could do with it. (1/2)

At a car wash this morning, it scanned my license plate and asked me to confirm. I said no, it asked me to enter the correct one. THERE IS NO EXPLICIT OPT OUT. All I could do was enter a bogus plate. But I have to wonder if they saved both so the model training can be refined Who asked for this?

I’m BEGGING Microsoft to stop hammering the “you don’t need knowledge or DBAs!” button. For the last 17 years, it’s the same messaging: first because of the Cloud, & now because of AI. I counted at least 4 instances of targeted, “you can do this even if you’re a novice!”, statements. #passsummit
