back on my "a healer who literally Will Not Let You Die is terrifying, actually" bullshit again

otherwindow:

I’d like to think healing magic naturally doesn’t produce the soothing light it’s associated with. Rather, healers make the light on purpose to distract you from wound gore and keep you calm.

Rogue with a large bleeding wound: Haha, so bright, can’t see a thing!
Healer, lying: It’s just a tiny cut, don’t worry :)

chronicconfusion:

Gotta blind your allies so they don't realize you're only 2 degrees of separation from a necromancer when it comes to the aftermath of their shenanigans

An image of Haurchefant in crafting gear (dwarven cotton) carrying a crate, a box of Skybuilder's Soap, and Skybuilder's Rope. Francel is looking at Haurchefant, smiling. The spires of the Firmament make the background. Overhead, Ehl Tou is flying in a sky with white, dramatic clouds.

Yvon's spine curved as graceful as a harp where he stood hip to thigh to chest to belly with the one who'd taken so much from him. "Let me gift you once more with the taste of me. Poor thing, I can feel how you shake with need." @junikuni.bsky.social || #oc:Örnvelgr || #oc:yvon || #elezen ||

the image centers on Yvon, a short statured, grey hued Ishgardian with medium length snowy hair that lays across his forehead and a bit against his neck and shoulders. He wears a black vest with a purplelish buttonup beneath. Morn Toskh is slightly in the image with his shoulder to the camera, and visible is Yvon's gloved hand on his abdomen.

This image is similar to the first of the series, however more backed out to see Morn Toskh. He wears a red coat of velvet with black lapels and gold buttons. His hair is a bit more wild, a rich brown, a slight bun at the back holds back some of his hair while the rest tumbles down the side of his face and around his shoulders.

His eyes are not unlike a sunset, orange and pink. He holds his right hand in his left, and his fingers are a shadowy, inky black which fade into the brown of his skin of his knuckles. He does not face the camera, but his eyes are staring into it.

prompt no.3 「echelon」safe passage 「 #ffxivwrite · #ffxivwrite2026 · #elezen · #鐵雀」» tumblr

I march forward toward the row of archers, fully aware they are likely displeased to see me. Not that they would know who I am. They know I wasn't invited and seem aligned with their opposition; this is enough. I'm given only two warnings before their bows are raised.

The archers move in almost perfect unison, and though they are many, their bows share a singular voice; as their strings are drawn; as their arrows are sent wailing upward into a dramatic arch. As the world caves in under the weight of this volley moments away from consuming me whole, I think of him. Not in the "life before your very eyes" kind of way. This is just how I choose to start my prayers today.

Stag always had such praise for the paladin's shield. He believed and probably still believes it's a vastly superior weapon to his own sword. "Against the tip of the blade, the bulwark has nothing to fear." His faith is admirable.

I remind myself of his faith and focus to gather my own. My shield weighs heavy on my arm. I flex from my shoulder to my fingertips, trying to convince the stone to walk with me. If the stone is agreeable, then it yields to the paladin's unwavering faith and becomes weightless.

The great wall is erected. I fold my body into itself, even as my armor protested being forced into this shape. I brace myself behind my shield. My knee settles into the dirt; it's still damp, and I sink further than I mean to. I continue praying to the stone, confident now that it's listening.

I keep praying. I can be a little bit braver for a little longer, for the ones who have given up all faith.

The stone remains amenable and answers by unfurling its magnificent light like wings. They grow wider and wider, while the two of us stay anchored in place at the very point they meet. The light sings loud as ice blossoming across glass, drowning out the frightful shriek of the Wailers' arrows.

Rainy day in Gridania 🌿 The idea of a foggy, grey Gridania with lantern glow peeking through the mist wouldn't leave my mind.. I love thinking of small everyday moments in the city states #ffxivart #risart

Digital illustration of Mother Miounne, a grey haired elezen lady holding a cup of warm tea and looking out at the city below her balcony, with a serene expression. In the background is a foggy view of Gridania. It's raining and everything looks muted, save for the warm yellow glow of lights in the houses across the scene.
