For heavensward it was very obvious who I'd choose. Ysayle is one of my favourite characters in FFXIV and I did her a little dirty for choosing her most painful moment to draw. But I also still can't forget what she went through in that moment 😭 #xivwomenweek

I had some folks come up to me during the convention and mention my "toning" guide and how it has helped them over the years. It's not the most comprehensive, and prepress pals should look away, but it's for those interested in how I separate my tones into steps. chanchauart.com/blog/2022/6/...

Rainy day in Gridania 🌿 The idea of a foggy, grey Gridania with lantern glow peeking through the mist wouldn't leave my mind.. I love thinking of small everyday moments in the city states #ffxivart #risart

Digital illustration of Mother Miounne, a grey haired elezen lady holding a cup of warm tea and looking out at the city below her balcony, with a serene expression. In the background is a foggy view of Gridania. It's raining and everything looks muted, save for the warm yellow glow of lights in the houses across the scene.

The need I have for this scene to be real is POWERFUL... Something I'd written up after playing the latest patch. The fear and the trust between these two is going to be interesting to play with as we approach EC. #CaLudo #7.5spoilers

Pulse. A story.

They laid together in the room that they'd commandeered for the night in the Rising Stones. They'd made love so desperately, almost as if the Final Days were upon them once more. And yet, for all its voracity, it was incredibly tender. They were satisfying a powerful hunger between the two of them, yes, but this hunger was borne out of trust, not lust.

They took their fill of each other, relishing in their nudity in their shared bed as they studied each other in the fading light. The room was cooler than either of them would have liked, but they refrained from putting their clothes back on. It felt like a wall being thrown up between them, and that was the last thing they wanted.

Calathea’s fingers skimmed across his biceps and shoulders, eyes half closed, studying the way his aether traveled through his body. Those wandering hands eventually paused over his throat, and the tremor was slight, but it was still there.

She didn't have to touch Ludo for him to know her hands shook whenever they were this close to his neck. Not even a year could completely erase the memories of those bruises, the ones she'd made when she thought he was the enemy.

Her fingertips fluttered and landed on his pulse, and her eyes closed. She let his essence wash over her, the thrumming of his heartbeat running in tandem with the aether flowing through his body. He covered her hand with his own, but she just shook her head.

“Don't. Let me feel you, Ludo. Let me know you.”

“I would've thought you'd know me pretty well by now, all things considered,” he chuckled as the hand slid down, coming to rest on her hip. But the smile quickly faded. “You're worried about something.”

Calathea sighed, and her hand fell away. “I’m scared, Ludo.”

His arms wrapped around her tiny frame, pulled her close and whispered soothing words that he only half believed as she trembled in his arms. “I'm scared, too,” he whispered, “but we can't give up yet. Not when we haven't even started.” He buried a kiss in her hair, nuzzling her. “We'll get through this, Cal. We have to. We'll do everything we can to find a way to stop all this. I promise.”

Synnove relaxing with the carbuncle family 🩵 Galette, 💛 Tyr, ❤️ Ivar, 🖤 Amandina, 🤍 Roksana, and 💙 Ipomoea! Commission for DT #ffxiv

Digital full body illustration of a Final Fantasy 14 hyur woman lying in the grass with six carbuncles around her, smiling sweetly at one of them running around. The lady herself has brown skin, green eyes, and a high pony tail of dark brown hair with a green ombre. She wears a black corset over a deep green open shoulder ruffle blouse, black fingerless gloves, short frayed grey jean shorts, and long black thigh boots. There is a very small black pearl carbuncle lying on her stomach being stroked, a medium ruby carbuncle running around joyfully next to her, a medium size sapphire carbuncle loafing under her legs watching him, a small emerald carbuncle sat over her shoulder also watching him, an absolutely huge topaz carbuncle lying next to her fast asleep, and a tiny white pearl carbuncle poised ontop of his back, ready to pounce forwards at the ruby lad. They are in a soft relaxing grassy place with little white flowers all around, leafy trees above them, and gentle rays of light shining through creating warm dapples across them.
