it's incredibly cursed to say but moriarty the patriot is to sherlock holmes what wicked is to wizard of oz. except he does still do all those crimes. he is indeed a mass murderer. but he's a trans ally and gay coded and sherlock is even more gay coded so it's ok and we forgive him. great manga

arimia @arimiadev.com · 30/09/2026

I think this is my favorite sherlock (the character). he's a moody little bitch who's constantly yelled at (for good reason) by watson and has little regard for his own life so he just does whatever he wants which is 1. solve mysteries 2. ensure watson's happiness 3. spend his life with moriarty

they ALWAYS want to assign parts of a story or characters as being representations from your life and experiences, it's so annoying and you can't convince them otherwise 😩

it's so funny how trans positive it is while also skirting around anything gay. we must always ensure people use the correct pronouns for our trans james bond and also never commit to any gay relationships

oooooohhhh. Bunny is a journalist in the amateur cracksman because he's the designated confidant and the counterpart to Watson who's a novelist since it was all a way to flatter Doyle. I keep thinking the Sherlock references will end eventually but every gentleman thief always traces back to him...

yayyyy new umineko merch yippeeeee 🥹✨ so happy with how these lanyards turned out! 6 witches on one lanyard, plus a protective charm to help you out 🧙‍♀️ #umineko #glitchbatmerch

a photo of two holographic vinyl lanyards (one showing the front, one showing the back) with six girls printed on it. they are drawn in a chibi style. the girls are characters from Umineko When They Cry, and include beatrice, maria ushiromiya, virgilia, bernkastel, lambdadelta, and eva ushiromiya. there is also a small charm attached with a scorpion drawing on a green ball chain.

the same lanyard as before but shown from a different angle to show off the holographic shine.

imagine going from "we need a place on the east coast to celebrate vtubers" to "look it's just 1 yacht we're spending the money on ok stop complaining"

The next large disagreement between the CEO and I was over a large expenditure of money that was, in my opinion, a negligent use of OnKey funds. I also did not win this argument either. It was to charter a yacht. I found it irresponsible to spend OnKey funds on this as it was not at all the reason that people were giving us money. I was assured it would work out, and in the end I had no say over the matter.

This yacht cost OnKey a total of $9,153.13, with a remaining balance of $14,153.12 still to be paid. Several staff members were confused and unhappy with this purchase. We were told it would be fine, and there was a plan. I know many on the previous team were unhappy with this. To be clear, the yacht was chartered but never used. (This was also the very first expense I cut when I took over as CEO)

the media I've been consuming this week is really telling - the adventures of sherlock holmes (a few of the individual stories, not the entire book) - the amateur cracksman (same as above) - lupin (the netflix adaptation) - moriarty the patriot (the ovas & finally starting the manga)

guess I need to go back to writing historical bullshit so no one can accuse me of ripping off whatever is popular (ignoring the fact harlequinade is also very much historical bullshit)

I'll be honest, a lot of my initial enthusiasm for harlequinade has faded now that a lot of the response to it has been calling it a tfc ripoff lmao. I still want to make it and will be finishing it and there have been some lovely people who are very supportive but it doesn't cancel out the hate

Something that's easy to miss in the history of Japanese romance games is that otome games weren't some later development after dating sims proved themselves. Angelique came out four months after the original PCE version of Tokimeki Memorial, making them and their respective scenes contemporaneous.
