Okay, so I'm sitting here, doing some crafty shit & some creative shit [not mutually exclusive], & listening to Sarah Brightman's La Luna album. I will take to my grave the fact that I prefer this version to the Dido original. Fight me... youtu.be/-VMXMsC7djs?...

Movie #33 is The Fantastic Four: First Steps (2025) It took me far too long to finally watch this, but I'm glad I did. Loved almost everything about it. My only major "complaint" isI didn't care for this version of Johnny. Go figure... 💜💜💜💜 youtu.be/18QQWa5MEcs?...

Movie #32 is Azrael (2024) I honestly have no fckn clue what I just watched... The absolute lack of dialogue for like 95% of the movie didn't help. I need more context than I got. The premise was so promising, but did not deliver at all for me. 💜💜 youtu.be/XWtKsBGWsig?...

Movie #31 is The Ruins (2008) The premise sounded good, there were actors I liked. Should've been a no-brainer, y/y? Yeah, not so much. While I was mostly sucked in, some of the execution left me wanting more. Not entirely sure what I watched. 💜💜💜 youtu.be/qlRJev4_JXs?...

Book #2 is Angels After Man by rafael nicolás. You know what? I took almost a year to read this because I didn't want it to end. I procrastinated. I admit it. But I loved it. There was so much going on & I never knew what was coming right up to the end. Worth it. 💜💜💜💜💜

Book #1 is The Homeric Hymns translated by Hugh G. Evelyn-White. I found this audiobook on Spotify & took the sign to finally dive into Homer, which I've wanted to do for AGES! My only complaint? Some of the pronunciations of the Greek gods' names pissed me off. 💜💜💜💜

I had hoped to finish my audiobook of The Homeric Hymns, but am flagging in energy as I fall into the last 13 hymns & 17ish min. Guess I'll finish it tomorrow. Very fascinating, except for the narrator getting some names pronounced incorrectly & grating on my nerves over it...

Amtrak didn’t tell us about this exposure, so heads up: if you took an Amtrak train last week through Chicago or anywhere on the Southwest Chief, Coast Starlight, or California Zephyr routes like we did, you may have been exposed to measles! Please let the train people in your life know about this

It’s also not scientific by any means. The worth of a human life is not measured by their health. And most of us have periods when we are healthy or not. It’s not an either/or thing.
