Just a huge mistake by Tracy there. That run is huge with Schlittler dealing like he is. In Yankee stadium, you can run into one. Two feels like a lot against this guy. His pitch count is up, but still. #redsox

Much like the #redsox first base situation last year, their catchers have been so bad that even a diminished Rutchman is a huge upgrade. He also seems to be a good defensive catcher and adept at handling a pitching staff, so I’m less worried about the transition than I would be with a guy like Hicks

…he’s always had a good eye, and the spray charts look really nice over Fenway. That said, changes like this sometimes don’t follow guys when they leave the coaching staff that helped them (sometimes they do, though). It had better work bc Breslow had no benefit of the doubt here.

My thoughts on the #redsox trade are wait and see. It theoretically makes them better this year bc even if Early came back, he’d be unlikely to crack the postseason rotation at this point. If Mead really unlocked something this year, he’s a huge boost to the offense...

This is awesome. The behind the back was one of dad’s trick pitches in the backyard and he taught it to me. I use it with my kids. I never thought I’d see it from 60’6’’, though. Bravo Kerry Wood and the Bananas.
