Argle-Bargler @argle-bargler.bsky.social · 04/08/2026but I don't think it measures the slight act of drawing mental attention. You need players who make off-ball defenders turn their heads, saccade their eyes, or freeze for a second so that the great connective players like White or Caruso can take advantage by cutting, shooting, or moving the ball. 010
Argle-Bargler @argle-bargler.bsky.social · 04/08/2026I don't think it would. OKC has a team of Derrick Whites, one superstar, and two all-stars, and they barely won the one they did. I think people underrate all the ways great scorers impact the game. Gravity is a pretty good approximation but probably insufficient. It measures spatial shifts... 110
Argle-Bargler @argle-bargler.bsky.social · 04/08/2026To do that well at an NBA level is hard. White, like Draymond, is really hard to categorize. Green and White two of the most "you had to be there" and "you have to really know basketball" players we have ever seen. Who else is on this list? Also, is there an all-last-name-is-a-color team? 120
Argle-Bargler @argle-bargler.bsky.social · 04/08/2026Derrik White is so interesting. I get he's beloved for his impact, but a top-5 player in the league?. If you had a team of only Derrik Whites, could you get out of the 1st round? Someone has to collapse and/or stretch the defense. Someone has to get off-ball defenders to turn their heads. 230

US foreign policy today isn’t pursuing national interest. Argle-Bargler @argle-bargler.bsky.social · 28/07/2026He didn't miss much. My 11-year-old figured that movie out so fast it was shocking. The second a character was on screen, or a breadcrumb was dropped, she knew who did it and then why. She instantly figures out the plot of every movie but never can figure out how to do her homework. 0160

Argle-Bargler @argle-bargler.bsky.social · 04/07/2026Elite game processors are rare and valuable. This isn't just some great player at the end of his career that will show the young guys the ropes and make the right play. He still makes plays that no one else in the league can make... nightly. He is in a tier of only 3 in terms of passing. 010
Argle-Bargler @argle-bargler.bsky.social · 03/07/2026Beyond being a POS, it's insane to have as much physical talent as he does and never try to get good at basketball*. You can't convince me that if he had worked maniacally since he's been in the NBA, he couldn't be a high-level starter at the least. *by NBA standards 010
